A 6-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a Tata Mobile in Bagh Pati Surfraw area of Gund in central Kashmir's Budgam district on Tuesday.

An official told Rising Kashmir that a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK02A/7970 loaded with Dry Grass hit the pedestrian minor namely Imran Ahmad Khatana (06) son of Naseer Ah Khatana a resident of Bagh Pati Surfraw village in at Surfraw area, resulting in critical injuries to him

Imran was immediately evacuated to PHC Gund where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and have set the investigation into motion.
