T10 Casco Cricket Tournament kick starts at Rahmoo, Pulwama

Pulwama, Mar 27: Second edition of T10 Casco Cricket Tournament was kick started at Rahmoo village in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.The inaugural match played between RN11 and Tujan Stars was won by former by 28 runs.
 
The tournament is being organised by Rahmoo Public Interest, a voluntarily group floated by local youth in 2018.The group has approximately 400 members.
 
Around 32 teams from different villages of this Southern district are participating in this championship.
 
Sheikh Rayees, Chairman of Rahmoo Public Interest, said that the organization is committed to promoting sports activities and addressing public interest issues. He further added that the tournament has gained popularity in the area, and the best performers will be selected into the Romireshi Cricket Club.
 
Nayeem Ullah Wani, the captain of Romireshi Cricket Club, expressed his excitement and hopes that his team will perform well. Qayoom Khan, a founding member of RPI, stated that their organization engages youth positively through sports to keep them away from drug abuse. In addition to sports, RPI is also working on issues related to sanitation and water body preservation.
