Three drug peddlers held in Budgam: Police

Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested three drug peddlers in Central Kashmir's Budgam district and recovered contraband substance from their possession.

 

A Police spokesperson said, "Yesterday late night, Police station Budgam received a specific information that a group of 03 persons boarding one Vehicle Tavera bearing Registration number JK01S-5579 is selling contrabands among the youths of Mirgund, Karipora and other adjacent areas of district Budgam.Accordingly, police party of police station Budgam intercepted the said vehicle at Karipora near DC Office Budgam."

 

 

" During search police party recovered 4.75 Grams of Herion like substance, 03 Mobile Phones and cash Rupees 1010/= from their possession. All 03 drug peddlers were arrested on the spot and subsequently identified as

Jehangir Ahmad Magloo @ Jan Kandail S/o Ab Rashid R/o Putli Bagh, Zahoor Ahmad Dar @ Tota S/o Gh Mohi U Din Dar R/o Nasrullapora and Mohd Arif Magloo S/o Gh Mohammad R/o Putlibagh. Vehicle used for commission of crime has also been seized", he said.

 

The spokesman said that case FIR Number 399/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation set into motion.
